received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in medical engineering from Ulm University of Applied Sciences, Germany, in 2011 and 2013, respectively. 

During her studies at Ulm University of Applied Sciences, she completed her bachelor鈥檚 thesis titled 鈥淒evelopment of a forefoot prosthesis for physically active patients,鈥� the results of which contributed to a scientific publication. She also completed an internship and her master鈥檚 thesis at the Institute of Trauma Surgery Research and Biomechanics at Ulm University. Her master鈥檚 thesis focused on the development of a methodology for determining muscle forces in knee-joint-spanning musculature during dynamic movements and formed the basis of scientific publications. 

Following her studies, she gained several years of experience in the medical technology industry, particularly in regulatory affairs and product management, including responsibility for international approvals of medical devices in more than 30 countries. 

Most recently, she served as Regulatory Affairs Manager and Quality Management Representative in an accredited mechanical testing laboratory for medical devices and implants, focusing on technical documentation and literature-based analysis of mechanical requirements.

He received his B.Sc. degree in Medical Systems Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bari in 2022 and his M.Sc. degree in Bioengineering 鈥� Rehabilitation Engineering and Interaction Technologies from the University of Genoa in 2025.

He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Ulm University, focusing on exoskeleton and robotic hardware/software integration systems aimed at supporting and optimizing orthopedic rehabilitation.

received her B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Anna University, India in 2014 and M.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering from Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences, Germany in 2021. After graduation, she gained industrial experience in the field of cloud connectivity for medical devices.

She is currently working as a research assistant at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, University of Ulm, focusing on medical wearables.

received his Diploma in Physics from the Freie Universit盲t Berlin in 1998 and his PhD. in Biomechanical Engineering from the Swiss Institute of Technology, Lausanne. 

In 2004, he went on to work in the innovation department at Siemens Medical Solutions, Forchheim, before becoming Professor for Biomedical Engineering at the Bern University of Applied Sciences, Biel, in 2007. His research there focused on applied system integration for specific industrial demands, particularly in area of ophthalmology and rehabilitation. 

In 2024, he worked as product manager for a novel electronic visual aid until joining the University of Ulm in 2025.

Pursuing his interests in combing technical, environmental and social challenges, he currently works in the project 鈥淪ustainable Technologies鈥� to establish sustainability as an important paradigm in our Bachelor and Master program.

received his B.Eng. degree in Information Engineering in China and later an M.Sc. degree in Neuroscience from the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany, in 2022. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg in 2026, where his research focused on deep learning methods for physiological time-series analysis.

He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Ulm University. His current research interests include deep learning for physiological time series, biomedical signal processing, sleep EEG analysis, foundation models, and predictive representation learning for multimodal physiological signals.

received his B.Sc. degree in Information Systems from the DHBW in Ravensburg in 2020 and his first M.Sc. degree in Information Systems from Stuttgart University in 2023. After gaining experience in the industry as a software consultant, he completed his second M.Sc. in Applied Data Science at the University of Gothenburg in 2026.

He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. degree in the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Ulm University. As part of this Ph.D., Tim works within the EndoTrain Doctoral Network on data integrity for digital health and medical wearables, with a focus on applied machine learning. 

received her B.Sc. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey in 2014 and M.Sc. degree in sensor systems technology from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, Germany in 2021.

She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. degree in the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Ulm University. Her current research interests include biomedical signal processing, sensor fusion, sensor systems design, distributed computing, and power optimisation of remote devices and algorithms.
