Institut f眉r K眉nstliche Intelligenz

Prof. Dr. Birte Glimm

Nach meiner Promotion an der University of Manchester (UK) in 2008 und einer PostDoc Phase an der University of Oxford (UK), wechselte ich 2011 als Juniorprofessorin an das Institut f眉r K眉nstliche Intelligenz der Universit盲t Ulm. Seit 2017 bin ich W3 Professorin mit 脺bernahme der Institutsleitung in 2022. Seit 2026 geh枚re ich dem Pr盲sidium der Universit盲t Ulm als Vizepr盲sidentin f眉r Lehre und Internationalisierung an. 

Seit 2025 bin ich co-Sprecherin des Graduiertenkollegs . Aktuell bin ich au脽erdem Mitglied der Arbeitsgruppe 鈥淜I in der Forschung鈥� des deutschen Wissenschaftsrat und Mitglied im Senats- und Bewilligungsausschuss f眉r Graduiertenkollegs der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft.

Mein wissenschaftliches Interesse gilt haupts盲chlich der Wissensrepr盲sentation, dem automatischen Schlussfolgern und der intelligenten Handlungsplanung, angewendet u.a. in der Medizin oder dem autonomen Fahren.
